Skinwalkers
The skinwalkers are described as being fast, agile, and impossible to catch. A clan shrouded in mystery, only those privileged few know of their true story. It is common knowledge, however, that once they were able to transform into whichever animal who's skin they were wearing. But that ability has been reduced, and only a rare few still possess this ability, and even so, it is limited to only one or two animals.
Some Navajo also believe that skinwalkers have the ability to steal the "skin" or body of a person. This is still true, and not a permanent thing. The Navajo believe that if you lock eyes with a skinwalker they can absorb themselves into your body. Typically, that is the theory behind the body take-over. During this period, the skinwalker is in complete control of one's body, as this is not mind control it does not matter how strong of a will one has.
It is also said that skinwalkers avoid the light and that their eyes glow like an animal's when in human form and when in animal form their eyes do not glow as an animal's would.
